I am a hermit, a homebody, a total recluse 😂 but, I’ve been feeling the call to expand my life and bring more happiness and joy into it. I love my work, but my life can’t be just about that, you know? I gotta have fun! I gotta get out there with my friends and have adventures! There’s a lot of mountains to be hiked, ice cream to be eaten, wines to be sampled 😉
This year, my only resolution is literally to have more fun and bring more joy into my life. Sometimes I get caught up in my past, single-mom-syndrome that I forget, I’m no longer a single mom and I don’t have to bust my ass like I used to. In fact, I don’t have to do it at all! I’m set for life! For the rest of this year, I will be engaging in activities that fill my cup up with joy!
One of the coolest things EVER, is that living in joy is actually the most POWERFUL manifesting tool out there.
It’s literally, my number one manifesting recommendation.
Everything that I do (or don’t do), is about maintaining my vibrational dial set on JOY.
We’re so used to life being hard, difficult, a struggle, stressful, fearful and so on, that when we hear that the ONLY thing we truly need to manifest our dreams, is to live in joy…we question it. We don’t trust it.
We’ve gotten pretty dang good and comfortable on relying on fear to protect us from disappointment and pain and to motivate us to get shit done.
But there’s another way.
I have this baby tattooed on my wrist, and you can see it by clicking HERE, that’s how much it means to me, and that’s how much I need the reminder, cuz sometimes life gets to me as well.
Joy is the ultimate creator and the most powerful, manifesting vibration we can embody! For REALSKIES!
I know exactly how difficult it can be to live in joy and to choose joy when you’re freaking out and stressing about how you’re going to pay the rent, or that your savings are almost empty, or when you’re unemployed, or when your heart is broken…
Baby steps my dear, baby steps.
The end goal is to GET to joy, but sometimes it requires baby steps to get there. Sometimes, we can’t just go from being heartbroken to instantly feeling joy. But can you go from heartbroken, to making peace with what is? Can you go from stressing about money, to just accepting that this is where you are for now?
Acceptance, is on the path towards joy.
Making peace with what is, is on the path towards joy.
And then, when you’re ready, you choose the NEXT baby step, the next feeling that is just a little bit above what you’re feeling now.
And you keep choosing. Over and over again.
And before you know it…joy is within reach.
The awesome thing about making your way towards joy, is that along the journey, you’re going to begin manifesting some new greatness into your life! That’s the way the law of attraction works!
As we begin to vibrate a different feeling and move up the emotional ladder into better feeling emotions, you start to attract things that match that energy-the energy that your feelings give off.
You don’t even have to wait until you reach joy to start improving your life, nuh-uh!
As you commit to taking these baby steps and moving on up, you’ll begin to manifest better and better things.
And before you know….there you are….at joy.
When you calibrate your energy to the experience of joy, you become a magnet for whatever you think about, so it’s a journey very much worth taking.
If you need a guiding hand on where to start, I got you.
My favorite tool for getting myself to feeling and living joy, so I can be a magnet for whatever I want, is appreciation. Let me be clear, I said APPRECIATION, not gratitude. While they’re similar, appreciation is a stronger vibration, and it’s actually EASIER to step into appreciation than gratitude.
We tend to use these two words interchangeably, but they don’t mean the same thing. Almost. Close. But not quite.
According to Wikipedia, the definition of gratitude is the quality of being thankful, and the definition of appreciation is the recognition and enjoyment of the good qualities of someone or something.
Gratitude is DA BEST, for sure! Not knocking it here. But it’s not always easy for people to be grateful.
It’s hard to be grateful when your father is an alcoholic or your car is about to be repossessed because you can’t pay the loan, or you’re about to lose the house, or you got another bill in the mail, or your child has been hospitalized.
Gratitude is usually a state we arrive at when we’ve overcome a struggle, and we’re grateful for overcoming the struggle. I’m grateful all the dang time…but there’s a teensy, weeny underlying and lingering feeling that the reason I’m so grateful, is because of all the struggles and obstacles I had to overcome.
What I love about appreciation, is that I never associate it with my past and what I’ve overcome, instead, appreciation makes me happy for what IS right now. With appreciation, your past never comes into play, your struggles are never a consideration. Instead, with appreciation, you’re instantly focusing on the good qualities of something or someone.
Depending on what’s going on in the economy, politics, what your mother-in-law said to you, the nasty facebook comment someone left you, what’s happening in the world, if your dog pooped on the carpet, you got your period again and so you’re still not pregnant despite months of trying… it can all test our ability to feel grateful.
But not appreciation.
No matter what’s happening, we can instantly feel appreciative for ANYTHING.
No matter what’s happening in the external world, I can instantly find something to be appreciative about.
When we truly have appreciation, we think and feel things that make us feel brighter, lighter, happier, more inspired, energized, and loved.
Appreciation dissolves all blocks, stress, and worry, and brings us to the present moment. When we’re in a state of appreciation, we’re actively creating more of what we want to manifest and letting go of resistance and negativity.
So not only is joy my number one key to manifesting, but appreciation is my number one tool to move your vibrational dial up towards experiencing joy.
That was a lot!
My goodness, I sure do love to write 😂 I have a hard time keeping things short and sweet.
Alright my dear, it’s time for me to go out into the world 😊and have some fun!
With joy & appreciation for you, the amazing human being that you are,
p.s. a beautiful quote that goes perfectly with this post…
If you carry joy in your heart, you can heal any moment. -Carlos Santana
